![]() | How to get paid in webdesign business Hi. I want to start a webdesign business and I was wondering, what method of getting paid should I use? Should I talk eye to eye with the customer or by email/telephone? Can I use online payments? (I live in Romania if it does matter, I think here things are a little different [not anyone can pay online, etc]). Any sugestions are welcomed. Thanks. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yes a portfolio would be good for potential customers to see work you have already done. Yes you can use many online payments. 2checkout.com provide a good services and many users have paypal accounts which can be easily enough set up and genrally pretty safe. One thing to be aware of though is commision charges these companies charge and set up fees. Good Luck! |

![]() ![]() | Paypal is the best for online payments I would say. Also offer cheap prices at first or even free website design to increase the size of your portfolio. I currently have a job for a web designer, and from the applicants I look at their portfolio mainly. |

![]() | Thanks guys for your suggestions! For now I have a very small portofolio (1 site), but I will enlarge it as soon as I launch my website. The free webdesign is a great idea, but only for starters. Ok, I will start working and let you know if I have more questions. Again thanks! Oh, by the way, Happy New Year! 2005! Best wishes to everyone! |
