Question How to get live feedback without blog?

I'm relatively new to dynamic content so I hope someone can help me out...

I have many content pages on my site, but I would like to add some way that a reader could leave a comment / suggestion / correction on the bottom of a page, that appears instantly. After a little searching, it seems that a blog could provide this functionality, but they are usually a seperate page devoted to only blog entries.

Is there some way of providing instant content update on a page without having to have a seperate blog page?

From my limited experience, it seems that a tool like wordpress would be what I want, except for the fact that it appears to be designed with the idea of having the blog script essentially create (& build) the entire page, rather than having my Dreamweaver-created page include the blog entries. I am open to any script... although I have easy install access to wp, b2evolution, movable type, etc.

For example, let's say I've created a detailed content page within DMX (eg. Digital Photography Workflow - Cataloging). I would like to add a "live response" section at the bottom for any comments. With wordpress, it looks like I could create a wp template page that wordpress reads, and then appends to it dynamically. But wouldn't that mean that I could no longer realistically modify the static content portion of the page in DMX?

Does anyone have an example of a site that does this? ie. primarily hand-designed content (static) but has a live blog-like feature?

I hope this makes some sense... I am sure that I am missing something simple. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated!
