Sound on HTML

Hey guys,
Is it possible to put sound on an html page and have that sound not reset for everytime the you change pages. In other words, I would like to have a constant loop running in the backgrounds of all the pages of this site. However, I would prefer that the sound not get broken every time someone change pages. I know that this can be done using frames, but I would like to do everything possible to not use frames. Thanks for your help.
