Myspace App

Has anyone here considered creating a myspace app to promote their website. I am currently making one ( a simple one ). I want to know how you guys feel about this marketing strategy.

Not sure about myspace.. coz i dont use it much.

Myspace targetting is not bad, it really depends on your niche and it how connects with myspace user groups.

Yea, it really depends what kind of traffic you're looking to get.

I have thought about the idea myself but havent followed through with it yet because I think the Myspace app world is still very premature yet. But obviously there can be some major success to be had. Look at Facebook/Facebook apps for example. There were a few applications that turned into startup companies after creating these apps initially. I think over the next year or two this market will really catch on fire. Just my opinion.

@dezine_gen take a look here http://developer.myspace.com/community/. You have to apply to be a developer and get approved before you can build an app.

i HAVE allpied and have been approved.. i released an app that is pending approvement and tested from my space

got denied.. i need to implement an age verification system because it is alcohol related

Ahh that figures. Is that the age of the person installing the app or a visitor to that persons page?

that's a great idea, you're helping out myspace community as well.
yes myspace marketing is always good if done right by way of apps.
