Stupid IE is centering everything!

http://dcf.danielchorley.co.uk/

Open it in Firefox, it looks fine.
Open it in IE6/7 and EVERYTHING is centered.
I have tried many things to try and un-center it, but I was wondering if anyone can spot anything I haven't spotted.

I would be very grateful to whoever finds the error, as it has been driving me around the bend for a while.

I am not an IE user myself (firefox) but as the majority of people use a Microsoft OS thus the Microsoft browser, I know it is a good idea to make the site look good regardless of a browser.

Thanks,

~ DC

Opera centers everything too...

In reality...you have it coded wrong and firefox sucks.

Try added a default font css parament with text-align: left.

Check the validator too....you have a TON of errors. It's possible you don't have a TD or DIV tag closed.

Just had a look, you've got 42 errors on that page and 61 warnings to fix
before it will validate to W3C standards.

I've not looked at your css yet, but many of the errors on your page are
critical. Until you get those fixed, forget about pixel perfect presentation.

Btw, it's not difficult to get Firefox and IE to display everything correctly
once you know how each browser handles CSS.

Use Fire Fox I never have a problem with it. My opinion IE sucks and is full of bugs.

that might be your opinion a1nerd, but a lot of people still use it, so you should always make you site function correctly in it.

A little trick I learned especially for IE from a book called "CSS Mastery" is to body { text-align: center;} and then create a wrapper div and then #wrapper { text-align: left;}. This should center your wrapper div and the content of it should be aligned to the left now.

Hope that helps! CSS cant cause a huge headache

Thanks for all your comments guys, I was aware that I had a lot of errors on the page.
I'll get around to sorting those out first.

EDIT:

My site is now HTML compliant AND I fixed the centering problem.
I do have about 11 errors in my CSS, but they're not that critical.

Thanks for your help guys!

I do agree but the majority of people still use that thing that killed web design. We know it as Internet Explorer, I know it ass "Pain in My !#$@()* A$$!!"

My opinion is that you want your site to view correctly in Firefox, IE as well as Safari and Opera. Every other browser as well but those four are used commonly. IE is still used a lot more than the other three and it also has the most bugs.

What I hate more about IE is the goddamn head developer of the bloody thing uses Firefox. I MEAN SERIOUSLY, WHAT THE HELL?!
