| Question on vbulletin and wordpress Hello everyone,
I run an online forum called SustainabilityForum.com and the URL for the vbulletin forum is........./forum
I want to install wordpress on the main URL, so www.sustainabilityforum.com.
Has anyone done that before? And if yes where there any problems? And you as a webmaster, designer, programmer do you see any problems with that generally?
I guess I only need to create a new database, install wordpress on the main URL and it should work right? Or would it screw up my vbulletin?
Or am I missing something?
Thanks for your help everyone.

| It's pretty easy to do, and it's done on a pretty common basis. Given that your forum resides in the /forum/ directory, there won't be a need to move anything.
However, are you planning on having the same user logins for both? If so, you'll need to look for a plugin. |

| Hello CrazyTech. Thanks for the hads up.
No I am not planning to have the same login. I just want to be able to run a blog on top of the forum.

You can keep the forum at / instead of /forum/ and change the forum's index.php to forum.php and set it up thru admincp.
Then once you finish that, you can install the blog

| yes it can be done, on wp you can specify the url or folder to use using fantastico.
on vb you can install it on the /forum folder without screwing up each other. |
