web page development

I recently thought of an idea for an online business. I have a moderate understating of web page development. Before I construct the web page I would like to plan out all aspects of it, however I become stumped on the idea of making it updateable. You see I would like to update my web page with new graphics and content with out having to recode the site. Is there a way I could simply upload new content to my site? Could I use a database of some kind? What would you do?

Thank you for taking the time to read my post. Any help you can give me will be appreciated!

If you want to keep most of the website intact (such as the navigation), and merely want to update the “content” aspect of it, then I would give PHP a shot.

Will php work for graphics, such as pictures?

Thanks for your response!

Maybe if you aren't too keen with Web Development then I suggest that maybe try an already built CMS as it is quick and easy to setup and use so you will have no problem setting up your creation.
