Color Scheme

I am not very good at all at making and styling templates and websites, however I'm going to give it a shot.
The site I am working on is www.thecmsforum.com, however I need an idea for a proper color scheme, etc. as I am going to work on a proper header and logo.

Any help is very much appreciated. Thank You.
