Question about format - See link

Hi .. this may seem like a silly question, i am working on a website and would like the content to the right to be like the one found here:

The white area where the content is has a shadow behind it and its curved on the edges, how would I do this?

Another question

If I clicked a link on my menu bar, how do I get it to continue opening to the right like on this site? Is there script for this?

Hopefully someone can give me a hand thanks in advance!

The shadows and curves are images. You can right click and view background image. It is actually part of the background image on the navbar. I could help you design a site like this if you are interested. PM me if you are.

I already have the webdesign in the process... If I wanted to pay someone to design a template for me to my likeing how much does something like that range?

Just a template? Under $50 I would say. It depends who you go threw. I know someone on here who does some pretty good work if you want me to put you in touch with him.

The other question I asked about how to make the content on the right change each time you click a link in the menu bar, do you know how to do that? For now i would say no about the template, the website I'm doing I am only getting paid 200$ for, its a friends business ... how much do people get paid to design websites nowadays? For a standard type like the one I linked you to up above?

The white space on the side is just another page loaded and has the same menu bar and top loaded. It loads so fast you don't nice that it is a whole new page that is the same. It all depends on how much you want to charge. I know someone who charges $600 for a standard website with no updates. I charge from $200-$400 right now.
