![]() ![]() | Well if you want to learn scripts probably won't help but starting off with MySQL then PHP tutorials might! The best way to do this is either a "Validated" field in the membership table, or probably more logical, a second table called "WaitingToBeValidated" or something like that, which contains their details. When they submit the form it adds them to this table, and they are sent an email, link in their email is autogenerated and uses another script to process their email address to find them in the "Waiting to be validated" table and then remove them and put them in the Membership table. That way if people don't validate you can always run a script that clears the members waiting to be validated who have been waiting there for say 30 days. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/web-design-discussion/209444-verify-e-mail.html Coding it yourself may sound hard at first but just try break it down into small little tasks and set out a plan for yourself. Then go read up on PHP! E-Books are good and tutorial websites such as pixel2life.com are useful also. Any questions? Feel free to ask. Regards, Jonny. |
