![]() | The frameless Popup I'm just looking for some info on this. I remember when there was quite a few sites that used the frameless popup to contain there entire webpage. It was an IE only script, I believe. I had almost completing forgot about this until the other day when viewing some old script site. It seems that the newer IE doesn't support it but when did this happen? It's not that I want to revive it or anything I never did get in to that but I just wanted to find some info on this trend and when it died out but all I could find on google are sites that still have scripts for it.

![]() | **Updating Myself** After searching through endless pages I found a post in a flash forum that said that these frameless popups are called chromeless windows (and I was like, oh yeah...). Searching for this turned out to be a lot more fruitful. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/web-design-discussion/209209-the-frameless-popup.html Found the chromeless website that is dedicated to this although it seems to be all but dead and had next to no info on the recent events. You would think they would place a news piece or something noticeable in there forum but all I found there was an off hand remark that these windows don't work with IE 6.029 sp2. But I found some better information from the IE develop team here: Link (for anyone who's interested). Seems these chromeless windows was being used for malicious deeds so they made some changes but haven't elimated them completely.
