![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | You have to have traffic, updated content on a regular basis, and that's about it. It takes awhile. As long as your traffic steadily grows eventually you should get ranked. My site is still at 0 and we have quite a bit of content. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | PCWebAdvice is right. Get as many backlinks as you can to your web site, update it on a regular basis with fresh content and u'll get a pagerank with the next Google PR update. SW

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It depends on the number and quality of backlinks, the total amount of traffic, content (how often it is updated), and the number of outbound links on the site. Here is a good site: http://www.webworkshop.net/pagerank.html Hope this helps It's also good to have accurate and descriptive keywords. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | The pagerank formula is a well kept seceret by google. No one can tell you exacly what to do but people have worked out a rough way of getting your site or page pageranked. When a page is indexed by google it is given the pagerank 0. Then as other people link to your site the pagerank will increse on the next pagerank-update. If a pagerank 5 page links to you it will benifit you more compared to a pagerank 1 page linking to you. If a goverment or educational website links to you it will help increase your Pagerank alot more compared to a normal site. Traffic has no factor as far as anyone can tell on a pages pagerank. Content doesnt directly increase pagerank but if your site has a lot of good content then other websites will link to it there increasing your pagerank. The idea is to get relivent links to your site, if your site is about pig food and a website about cars links to you it wont benifit much compared to another pig food site linking to you. If your page gets say a pagerank 3 and you addsomthing like 50 outbound links on the page you will find most of the pagerank is shared between the other links. The pagerank update happerns about every 3 months , this is when all the pageranks are re-calculated. There is also the trustrank but thats somthing a bit diffrent, i exspect if you did a quick search you could find out about it your self. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/web-design-discussion/207713-not-sure-where-to-post-this.html You do not want to many websites linking to you all - at - once because this can trigger what is called the google sandbox. If you get put in the sandbox it means your site wont really be highly ranked untill it comes out which can be weeks or months. There are alot more people here and on the web who know LOADS more stuff about SEO and pagerank so i would ask them personaly if you need some help because they know the search engines in-side-out. Well theres my little bit, hope it helped a bit. Thanks, All the best with getting your site ranked well; -ed |

![]() | As mentioned, no one really knows the Secret Formula, though there are some clear pointers you can follow (I've had a site in the top 10 on google for over 5 years and running for the keywords I wanted): ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=207713 1. relevancy - make sure the keywords you want are present on your site, but don't overdo it! Just keep it normal 2. back links - get other sites to link back to you. The higher the rank they have, the more it will help you 3. use code properly - label your alt tags, fill out the proper meta information, use header tags, no broken links, etc. Also, use html and css as much as possible, instead of javascript. JS is not indexed by search engines, so if you create your drop down menus using html lists and css, it will obviously boost your site's relevancy. Good luck!
