![]() | Starting up an on-line store.. help I was wondering how I go about creating a website that allows for the on-line shopping cart. I have never created a website but I will either need to learn quickly or hire someone to do it for me. Thanks for your anticipated help.

![]() ![]() | Well the easiest thing to do is get a host that supplies fantastico as that is basically an auto-installer of a lot of different scripts including 3 different types of shopping system, not sure how easy they are to customize - shouldn't be too bad though. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I recommend osCommerce. Its a free, open source, ecommerce system project. I've used it before, its very customizable, but you will need some knowledge of PHP and CSS. There's a great community to help you, and with lots of mods that you can install. See oscommere.org

![]() | cheap alternatives to open source are LiteCommerce and turnkeywebtools.com. ($99 and $189 respectively, though litecommerce may require extra plugins that cost a little more) LC and turnkey are completely customizable in every way - they're template-driven.
