I am looking for websites that will provide some information on building forums. Is there any programs that makes it any easier?

Thanks

Not sure what you mean here bagwatee. Are you asking for forum software? PhpBB, InvisionBoard, VBulletin are a few. If this isn't what you're looking for, please rephrase so we can help you better

What i am wanting to know is if there is an easier way for me to establish a forum, but i do not know much about PhpBB and such. I have played around with it but have never gotten a good grasp on it. Is there code of a forum that i can take a look at to better understand the basics of a forum?

Thanks Evilhaider

well phpbb is very easy to install. by the way as i have the feature in my hosting package ... there is already a option like "bulletin board"....

you just click on it and you have to just give a path and directory name and your forum will be installed.... [it is phpbb here[

Er, would it be correct to presume that what you want is the easiest way to setup a forum, in any method possible?

If so, then as much as it's very easy to install phpBB as mentioned above, especially if you have a hosting account that includes it (like CPanel), if you want something even easier you can forego installing your own software and use any of the free forum providers out there, like Bravenet or IPBFee.com

I agree with bbphp it is easy to instal and use. It took me about five minutes to instal it and figure it out my first time and as far as bravenet and others like it i am not ok with them. I dont like anything that i got to advertise to use but that is only my personal opinion.

Except for a phpBB install via CPanel/Fantastico, vB is among the most efficient programs to install, not any harder than phpBB, IPB or any other board, and is a wonder in the admin panel.

phpBB is fairly easy to setup. The documentation is good. If you need more help and information, you can go to the phpBB forum.

http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/

Hope this helps.

just check "bulletin boards" option in cpanel... click on it... you will see "phpbb" there click on it... it will ask u just "username" and "password" for admin and "dirctory" where you want to install phpbb thats all and by one mouse click phpbb will be installed...

if you want my help to install any of forum.. let me know... but now i suggest you to isntall ipb instead of phpbb.. i found ipb very easy to customised... just let me know if i can do something for you.

thanks
