Urgent Problem - Publisher not giving me webpage preview!

I have a really urgent problem here! I'm using Microsoft Publisher 2003 to design a website for GCSE Coursework (not by choice - we have to use it )

Now, when going to webpage preview, the browser automatically goes to Firefox since it's my default browser. This is no good. Because Publisher sucks for web design, it doesn't render the site properly and lots of problems occur - yet, at school, when previewing it on Internet Explorer, it works fine.

So, my aim was to get Publisher to use Internet Explorer for webpage preview. I uninstalled Firefox thinking that Publisher would automatically revert back to Internet Explorer for webpage preview. It didn't.

Now, when I open my .pub file and go to webpage preview, I get the following error:

Quote:
Microsoft Office Publisher
Unable to open C:\Documents and Settings\Will\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.MSO\PubWebPagePreview\pub3560.2\inde x.htm. Cannot open the specified file.
Now, I don't have a clue what any of that means, to be honest, so, what I'm hoping is that someone on Namepros can give me a way to fix the error and get Publisher to do webpage preview in Internet Explorer.

This is really urgent - the coursework is in for tomorrow

EDIT: If I reinstall Firefox, then it goes back to previewing in Firefox and gives me no errors. It just doesn't seem to want to preview in Internet Explorer

Thanks,

Will.

open ie go to tools > internet options > Programs tab, there you can set what to use fpr html and also at the bottom tick the box that says for ie to check it's the default browser, this should solve your problems. lmk if it helps.

Phew! You're a legend mate, you really are! It worked a charm, now I can get on with my coursework and not have put up with earache from an angry Scottish ICT teacher

Excuse me for asking, but how will anyone know whether or not you used Publisher to make a web page?

My teacher, because we have to printout after each and every page and she comes round and checks and everything.

It's not really my choice, we have Dreamweaver MX2004 installed, but my teacher said that we need to use Publisher because "it's easier". Now, I find Dreamweaver easier and tried to explain my case but she was having none of it.
