Backround music

Does anyone like to add backround music to their website? I've always found it a pain because MP3s are too large and MIDIs sound awful (especially when they are set to loop). However, once almost everyone in the world has upgraded to at least a DSL connection, that will probably change. Personally, I like it to be quiet when viewing webpages so I can concentrate. What do you think about putting music on webpages?

Another thing we could see in the future is more flash jukeboxes. Which could allow people to listen to music at full quality but not allowing them to download that music. That would be cool I think.

no no, I know how.. also you can use mp3's. I took some Janis Joplin song and just lowered the quil. on it for my sisters site (she's a hippy ) lol and it still sounded pretty good and wasnt anymore than 100-150k (even for 56k'ers that wouldnt take long to load)

if you still wanna know how to add music just ask and ill post it

I'm the guy who always has music playing on his computer, so when i goto a website and music starts competing with mine then it gets annoying... the only website i like that has music on it is MrNice, but thats not really a website, more of an animation.

lol yeah that happens to me sometimes and it's annoying. I am right in the middle of listening to my song and then this loud MIDI starts playing and I almost die...

IdleHosting, was that a short song or a very low quality song? I like good quality. It's hard to hear if at all possible but sometimes CD music sounds better than MP3s because MP3s take sounds away that the computer doesn't think you can hear. Most of the time it's pretty accurate.
