Using Apache-How to-page counter


I' ve seen the tutorial of the web counter that is shown here

ok, but what do i need to enable in the httpd file in apache to get the counter to work and where do i copy the code to

i know this is out of my league but i gotta start somwhere

Which version of apache are you using?

Also you'll need to have Perl installed to run that code.

so is there another way to run a hit counter without installing perl
and just using the Apache software??

Well there's many other ways, such as installing Mod_perl, PHP, etc..

But I don't think you'll be able to make one work with the apche web server alone. If there is a way I wouldn't know how to do it. :webdev:
