PayPal "Token"???

What the heck is a PayPal 'Token'? I'm installing an application and the setup is asking me to input my PayPal Token. I've searched PayPal and cannot find mention of it anywhere. Your help is appreciated -- I can't proceed until I have this! Thanks...

what application are you installing Gene? I am guessing that it is tryint ot work with the Paypal API, in which case you are going to need a "passphrase" of sorts, which is called a token. It is similar to Amazon web services codes.

You might want to check out the developers section of paypal:

Steve,

Thanks for your reply. I'm installing Domain Trader. I have activated 'IPN' in PayPal, and I'm told I'm supposed to have a serial number of some kind to put into the 'Token' field. I can't find this anywhere on PayPal. This is really frustrating -- I didn't think I'd have to spend hours learning developer tools just to install a simple domain selling script... arrgh.

EDIT: I've made some good headway since posting the above. I've managed to get the serial number in question. I'm still very confused as to why all this is necessary (what's wrong with simply getting the PayPal payment via the paypal email account as I do with everything else?) but I think I'm on the right track.
