Latest Scam-mail I received

Dear friend,

I will be most pleased if you do not feel sorry for me after reading through this email; because I believe everybody will perish someday.

My name is Andrew Watkins a contractor and oil merchant in London, United Kingdom. I have been diagnosed with esophageal cancer and have been in the hospital for few years now. My sickness has defied all forms of medical treatment, and right now I have only few weeks to live according to the medical experts.

I have not particularly lived my life so well, as I never really cared about anyone "not even myself" but my businesses and wealth. Although I am very rich, but was never generous to people, I was always hostile and only focused on my business as that was the only thing I cared so much for. Now I regret all this, as I now know that there is more to life than just wanting to make all the money in the world.

I believe when God gives me a second chance to come to this world I would live my life a different way from how I have lived it till date. Now that God is calling me, I have willed and shared most of my properties and assets to my immediate and extended family members, including few close friends and my previous attorney.

On the 23rd of December 2004 my family members including my mother travelled to Banda Aceh province of Indonesia for a special visit and to spend the Christmas/new year celebration with my elder and only brother, but it all turned out to a total tragedy, after the deadly Tsunami struck and wiped my entire family away. This sad story was revealed to me after I called Indonesia to wish my family a happy new year.

I want God to be merciful to me and accept my soul, so I have decided to give alms to charity organizations, as I want this to be one of the last good deeds I do on earth before Gods call to glory. So far, I have distributed money to some charity organizations in the U.K, Somalia, Algeria and Malaysia. Now that my health has been deteriorated so badly, I can no longer do this myself anymore.

I once asked members of my family to close one of my accounts and distribute the money, which I have there to charity organizations in Bulgaria and Poland, but they refused and kept the money to themselves before the tsunami tragedy. Hence, I do not intend to waste further time in realizing my last wish for the charitable organization in your country.

The last of my money that no one knows about not even by departed family members, is the huge cash deposit of Twenty one million dollars United States dollars ($21.000.000) that I deposited physically in two crates with a security and finance Company in Europe. I want you to help me claim this deposit physically on my behalf and distribute the funds to charity organizations in your country as proposed to you.

I am offering 20% of the funds to you for your time and want you to share/distribute the rest to charity organizations in your country. Please reply this email as soon as possible even if you are not in the position or capable to handle this project on my behalf. Woah, 1st ive heard of a person dying of cancer with weeks to live typing up a long email like that, sending spam and better still, using a computer

I think i need some of the drugs hes on, if he can do that

Well, not exactly.. this one came out of South America.. gotta give them an "A" for creativity tho.. and an "F" for stupidity.. the email addresses he gave led directly back to him.

People like this ought to be drawn and quartered. There are so many people suffering from disease that could use some real help, that can't get it, and this is one of the reasons. Because of joker scams...

There are alot of these scams with these types of themes where you get a big amount of money, once i even replied to these emails and i even got a response from a real person saying i really would get the money but meh, i don't believe in this crap.

Anyways, even though it is a scam it has a moral to it. It kind of teaches people a lesson about learning to care about themselves and others and not just focus their whole life on a particular object/thing (in this case, businesses and money).

They never will. Some people still fall victim to this kind of crap. I see it on the news from time to time , unbelievable.

I did a lot of research on it. It's still called a nigerian scam, it originated in nigeria so they call it that. I just received one once, I did some research on it because I thought maybe i'd be a millionaire.. Stupid me.

I got a similar one from Andrew LOL. My guy got arrested after he opened the email that i replied back to him with. I used didtheyreadit.com on him and he was in the UK. I Immediately called his ISP forwarded the emails that he thinks I fell for and from what his ISP told me the next day he was arrested within an hour of my calling the ISP.

When I get a newBie Spammer who forgets to spoof his return Address
He wins the 1st Prize ,the entire saved content of my SpamMailbox

The biggest donation I can do is dedicated my time to selling livestrong bands on eBay, thus spreading cancer awareness.

I love getting these emails. I bait them, and have them do all kinds of crazy stuff like send pictures, and join cults..I'm baiting one right now.Just started. They are hours of entertainment and they will do pretty much anything you ask them to. I've even heard of people scamming the scammers out of money..

Next time you get one, have fun with it. Email them back and get into a conversation. Get to know them. Waste their time as they do yours. Then drop the bomb...
