IRS notification scam

Just received this email;
This isn't a domain scam, but it's a serious one so I thought I'd post it here in case anyone else receives this email.
It says there's a mistake on your income tax filing this year, and it includes attached documents you're supposed to fill out and return to them. It's a scam to get your personal information. Here's the email, and afterwards I'll list a few reasons you can easily tell it's a scam:

We are unable to process your tax return

We recived your tax return. However, we are unable to process the return as field.

Our records indicate that the person identifiedas the primary taxpayer or spouse on the tax return did not provided all the required documents shown on the tax form. Our records are based on information received from the Social Security Administration.

Based on this information, the tax account for the individual has been locked
What you need to do

Print out the attached notification and list of missing documents, fill it in, add the documents and send the following information to the adress shown in the attached notification.

List of required documents:

1. A copy of this letter

2. Notification letter

3. A photocopy of valid U.S. Federal or State Government issued identification.

Keep this notice for your records. If you need assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us
Clues it's a scam:
1 - No official letterheads, logos, addresses or documents.
2 - I'm in Canada, and this email is about Income Tax filings in the US
3 - A half dozen poor spelling errors, and amateur language rather than professional legal language.
4 - Bogus email address of sender, not an official government email address.
5 - Non-secure method for sending personal information... they just ask you to fill it in and send it, with no special security or password etc. These forms come as attached documents... DO NOT OPEN THEM.
6 - It says 'Internal Revenue Source' instead of 'service'.

Here's a link to it on Scamtrends.com:

WARN YOUR FRIENDS AND RELATIVES IN THE NON-DOMAINER WORLD, SO NO ONE GETS SCAMMED!
