![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Namejet and Fabulous take back sold domain after 80 days Fabulous takes back a domain 80 days after it was sold at namejet. 1) 13 October 2010, a domain registered at fabulous expires * 2) 14 November 2010, 32 days later after expiry the domain goes to pre-release auction at namejet. * 3) 17 November 2010, dnforum member michaelp wins the auction 4) 3 February 2011 michaelp receives an email from namejet, saying the following:
* I calculated the first and second date myself. I checked 10 different fabulous domains that are on namejet. Namejet auctions start 32 days after a fabulous domain has expired. Then the auction runs for 3 days. So you win the auction 35 days after expiry. Expired domains are recoverable for 45 days after expiry for regular reg fee from the registrars perspective. They are recoverable for a further 30 days. So in total 75 days is the recover limit. 35 days had already passed when michaelp won the namejet auction. Even in the most far fetched scenario the auction lock should not last more than 40 days because after that the domain enters pending delete. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | "You also agree that NameJet shall have the right in its sole discretion to suspend or cancel any auction (Public or Private) prior to commencement of, during, or after completion of, the auction." That doesn't make sense even. You can cancel an auction After completion? I have heard of canceling an auction but not reversing the results of said auction. This is weird. Stay away from Snapnames/NameJet Are you sure it was an expiring auction and not a private listing? I think they mix them up now.

????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=707192 Never bought a name there. Never will. You can argue that doesn't help fix anything - but it would if there were 1,000,000 more of me. I voted with my feet

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | After completion!!!! ![]() OK but there must be some limits. You cannot have such terms for an indefinite period.Where to buy then? Is snapnames any better? The problem is that a handful sleazy companies have monopolised the industry and have left no options for the ordinary domainers.
