![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm still getting these everyday. When I change the contact email address, the assault stops for a half hour and then they start spamming the new email address. They are relentless. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Well.. They took a little break in my case.. But now I am getting around 1000 each day.. I desperately need some spam protection.. Anyone recommend anything for your shared hosting? Using squirrelmail.. EDIT Ecigs.net proposed to use filters to clear your inbox in another thread. If you want to do that in Squirrelmail (or other Cpanel hosting mail proggys) you have to setup the filter in the Cpanel mailbox login screen. Or like me discover that your shared server has spamassasin and then activate that

We have been watching ITESLA.COM and were able to find out that you have spent pretty money much for its advancement and we want to to offer you to spend a little more yet. Just as little as 200 bucks as a voluntary donation to our fund will keep your web site away from DDOS attack. 200 bucks is not so much also will help you to avoid greater problems in the future. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=665502 FOR DULLS..!!! IF YOU DO NOT OFFER TO US 200 bucks WE WILL KILL YOUR WEB SITE! | ||||

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Extortion. And most of us domainers are too poor to pay, even if we wanted to...! :-) This is a crime, but also one of the funniest things I have read in some time... I hope they email me soon, because this is what I plan to do: 1) Notify my hosting provider(s). I'm sure they would love to get this kind of warning about a DDOS attack and have more information to go after the jerks that are doing it. 2) Report it as SPAM. This may or may not do much, but given that they are clearly half-wits, they may be using a computer where they work or at their parent's home. 3) Notify the company running the payment method. I am sure they will be interested in a customer running this kind of racket. ????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=665502 This reminds me of that old warning" "Everytime you masturbate, god kills a kitten!". I almost forgot 4) Setup an email filter in sPanel to look for their email address, and then send a copy of their email to that address. The old "I'm rubber, your glue...." ploy. :-)
