NationHosts...Coming Back to Scam Us Again

Hey NationHosts,
I see your coming back for more. Scamming everyone once wasnt enough? You promised me the full amount to re-register all the domains you deleted, and have not. The tab is building. You owe me over 600 dollars, and probably owe many others similar amounts. When do you plan on paying us back? You promised me time and time, too many times to count, yet you never paid. You now no longer answer your phones, respond to emails, Instant Messages, ect. What is going on?

There was another thread about NationHosts comming back again also. It's a different person I think. I think that the person who had NationHosts is in jail for 20 years now.

I never really got through the story. Apparently two main persons were involved, there was a very long thread about them on WHT. Can someone please inform me who is the individual responsible for this?

Yeah someone please provide us a full summary on this, as throwing things in could result in major confusement.

Also I would not trust their company at all if they come back.

I am not completly certin but from what I understand a member here NH-Benjemin was selling stuff on NationHosts below costs, this caused it to go bankrupt obdiviously. Then so he wouldn't get sued he made a bomb threat, because of that he went to jail, and is going to stay there for 20 years.

However I will try to explain it as I've read most of the posts on WHT...

There was a guy (forget his name) he started NationHosts and had it running good until one day he met NH-Benjamin. Benjamin starting helping out and soon starting controlling most of the company and got access to many things including paypal, servers and everything.

The guy wanted Benjamin out, but now that he had all this power and control he starting taking money and transferring it to his account. He threatened the guy to start deleting domains and servers and all this. The guy continueously tried to deal with him but Benjamin just went crazy and deleted domain names and servers until everything was down.

During this the guy discovered that he threatened to set off a bomb back in his day and had a criminal record I believe.

Well Benjamin is now in jail, and I guess it was a huge loss for all of NationHosts customers...

Yea, that's definately not accurate. The bomb threat happend well over a year ago, which was way before NationsHost.

However you could start websites like "Nationhostsucks.com"

Anti-NationHost and all this.. LOL

Start advertising in signatures at forums, on your website and all...

They could be just saying that in lieu of an "under construction" page; it doesn't mean they'll actually come back.

As a business, Nationhosts is responsible for making right its employee misdeeds. If they do come back, I expect them to satisfy their NP clients before being allowed to solicit new business.

so let me get this striaght . . . im confused

there was nationhost
along came "ben"
ben and Yazan argued
ben started taking over servers and began registering domains
Yazan left
Yazan transfered paypal funds to whoever
ben began to transfer funds from everypossible direction to one account and didnt disclose login information
ben formatted server and started deleting domains
ben told customers to chargeback Yazan
ben got in shit

i may have got this wrong i didnt read the entire thread
but if its anything correct and i was a customer of nationhost i would have seriously hunted ben and chopped of his genitals with a rusty bread knife

Wow, talk about a right mess!

IMHO any kind of internet business, like nationhosts should first do a thorough background check on anyone they think about employing BEFORE said people recive any form of power that could potentially harm or destory any partys involved (including clients). Even if someone offers to just 'help out' in the begining, you should really ask yourself why.. im sure there are lots more people out their like 'ben' that seem to think its acceptable behaviour.

I talked to Matt today, on AIM

Ben only went to jail 2 weeks ago.

Matt is in a large hole, and even admitted he may be sent to prison (he stated that in an indifferent tone), he said he may take a Bank loan and start it again. I told him I hope he wouldn't do so, and just leave business altogether... i got no reply for that of course

I too spoke with Matt and he is supposed to get me the phone number of his attorney tomarro. I am more than ready to go to court, and ill keep everyone posted. I doubt Matt is as innocent as he claims to be.

Hosting isn't what caused all the heat. It was the way the domain stuff was handled that caused all the pain. First of all with Directi you are totally dependent on your parent reseller to ensure that they have your funds. Directi has made this very clear in their forums that they don't get involved with money issues from sub-accounts. To top off the stealing of sub-resellers money one person (I won't state a name because no telling who did it even though it is obvious) went in and deleted domains from sub-accounts.

If you’re smart and regularly back-up then a pathetic host will be nothing more than changing nameservers and with Rapid DNS you are quickly back up. Mess with some bodies PayPal and domain names and your in a real mess.
