The support system on his site does not work ....

http://www.selectbyte.com/support.php

So I submitted a support ticket to his other company

Anyway response after almost 12 hours was
Hello, the support team for that company is different.

Thank you for contact VPSByte Solutions, if you have any further questions please feel free to reply to this ticket.

Thanks.

This response was around the same time that camron made his first reply to us... UMM........

We also have clients Sites hosted on the server ahnd have had 2 cancel there $17.50 p/m Package $35 Loss.... Loss of Income so far estimated at $200 ( Conservative Estimate Possilby More )

Camron you sell unmanaged servers OK but how can the management company manage the server if you are not able to be contacted... via your site....

the server is down been down 36 hours almost .... You still have not updated us on whats happening ....
We are not happy at all with the service you provide and need some answers... please.....

Is this the same person that run e10host.com before he sell his company to other company? If it the same person, you shouldn't trust him on any of his hosting company. He have hosted a few free hosting company and close down on them.

Hello,

We are testing the hardware this morning and should have it back up within an hour. The reason this happened was because we had someone use this server to ddos all the severs on our network, which bounced back and took the server down. We checked the hard drive, power supply, mother board, and cpu, all is fine. We are trying to get it to boot but every time we get it up it shuts back down. So we took it offline and got it booted fine. We will connect it online soon but it may just crash again. We are unsure what you guys did but as a unmanaged service we have provided over 24 hours of nonstop tech support for free.

Bashing us in a warnings and alert thread as well as our own sales thread will not help your situation, we are trying our best, as an unmanaged service you are getting a lot.

You also said we are not giving you answers? We explained this yesterday and just now. Just looking at bandwidth logs and it shows spikes of 10MBPS non stop for hours, incoming and outgoing.

Camron we are not bashing you in a sales thread and also in warnings and alerts we are posting to get answers.

Your support system does not work
http://www.selectbyte.com/support.php

Also we know we have an unmanaged server from you but how can the management company manage something that is not online. ?

You need to provide us a server that is up.

You are not very helpfull to me.

When I took on the server with you I did tell you I had never had an unmanaged server before.

As for answers yes you are correct you did give us answers
YESTERDAY this is a day after with the server STILL DOWN.

I have not bashed you nor have I bashed you in your own sales thread I have only done what is needed to get answers from you.

THE main point you keep saying is its an unmanaged server, but how can the managent company manage something thats not online.... ???
This is your job to keep online..... And that you have not done so...... for now 37 hours + Lots of lost revenue for us.

EDIT

OK this is 1 hour after your post and server still not up.
WHY IS THIS ?????
you said within the hour .......

It's not good bonzer.

It took him 22 hours for a responce from the time the server went down.
The support URL goes to a dead page.

No wonder we're getting angry. It's a piss take.

3 hours now since you said within the hour camron Whats happening buddy ?
We would contact you via your site but its not possible and when we go through your other site for support we get none....

Camron I have stayed very cool but now I have completly had enough.

You are costing us $$ and not just a few $ were talking $xxx

camron (StackedTech) sort the shit out.

A fresh os install on a new hard drive might be best...then mount the old drive so he can access it and move stuff to the new drive. Unmanaged is truly unmanaged but his point is good that he needs a server online to deal with the problem. IMHO if you can't get his server up he needs to be refunded. If I was down 3 days you bet your ass I would be beyond upset.

OK Camron (aka StackedTech) enough is enough.

You are now cleary ignoring us. That is the worse thing to do.

You took 22 hours to even reply to us.
Your site support link does not work.
You said 4 hours ago that it has booted fine. Why has it not been connected?
You have lost us over $500 because you are very slow at communication.
We have lost 3 subscribers because of this downtime costing us a further $64 a month.

We have a server management company that will secure up the server.
Get it back onine NOW before you feel the full force of mine and bonzers wrath (remember WickedInnovations and syristech.com/kokohost.com) they both tried to scam us, they lost.

I hate to have to make threats mate but after being down for nearly 48 hours and losing around $500 I am very angry now.

Get the server up now and stop ignoring us.

Ignoring you? I have been at the datacenter since 3:00 AM, i am not on email & namepros 24/7, you must realize that.

We are working as best we can to get your server online, spamming our support center will not get the job done faster.

Camron 4 hours ago you said that it would be up within the hour......

spamming our support center ???????? How so when its not up ????????

DO NOT and i repeat DO NOT blame anyone put yourself for this mess......

Were not happy at the downtime and will be looking to get compensation for lost time and revenue....

Also Camron no point in reporting this thread to the moderators when you are in the wrong.

We work hard. We work very hard to offer all our customers the best support we can (especially at www.getmyownarcade.com) and we expect the same in return.

I know that nobody can be on email or in www.namepros.com 24/7 but the fact that it took 22 hours to even get any kind of response from you is very very poor, coupled with the fact that the support page on your site leads to a dead page.

Anyway, enough ranting from me for now, I'll leave you alone to get on with getting the server up.

Many thanks.

Edit:

I am quoting you from your Q&A here on NamePros:

Q: What do you like to do for fun?
A: I like making customers happy. It really brightens my day.

That would make me happy too. :)

The server is now online and responding to requests. We have put it on a seperate network away from other servers so it can't be attacked or dossed.

Our remote reboot system should be shipped to us shortly, after we have that you will be able to reboot your own server. As I have said before this issue was not caused from our side.

Some of the techs recommended that you upgrade your ram, the reason it keeps crashing is because you have insufficient memory.

Thanks.

Camron when I purchased the server I requested 1024 ram and you told me I would not need it......
Let me please remind you also camron as you kept reminding me it is am unmanaged server this is correct but you have to provide a server that is online for my management company to manage it.

To which it has taken you 42 hours from the server going down to getting it back up.

So a lot of the downtime is on your part ...... So what do you offer in the way of compensation to us ?

We understand that you are upset, as I have said I will give a discount for the next month, I talked with the managed and they said $35 off, since we did work non stop to get your server online, the price we pay for these techs will make you laugh.

Thanks.

The Server Is Down Now Camron ... What Are You Going To Do ?

I had it up for a little bit but it went down, we are trying to investigate but when it was booting it was showing some parse errors. The only choice we really have now is to pay $90/hour for a minimum of 2 hours for techs to fix it (mon-fri) or format it. I will be here for 5 more min, please private message me and let me know what you want to do. I am unsure what has caused this but it was definately not on our side, some one you are hosting did something which is causing many issues with the server.

Thanks.

Whatever you do do not reformat it, unless you can back up all the data Camron.

Server seems to be ok right now but I am unsure if it's going to die again. Since you never replied about the backup drive, we do not have backups on it. Do you wish to have the server worked on by the techs?

Thanks.
