I watched the whole race, she did an outstanding job! I was hoping she would of won but nonetheless it was an amazing performance and showed up all of the guys. She'll definitely win other races in the future very soon as she's a heck of a contender!

Robby Gordon

I'd heard a rumor 'bout some "Gordon" making unsportsmanlike remarks about her abilities. I did a little search and here ya go...

http://abcnews.go.com/Sports/ESPNSports/story?id=800064

Associated Press

May 28 CONCORD, N.C. – Robby Gordon accused Danica Patrick of having an unfair advantage in the Indianapolis 500 and said Saturday he will not compete in the race again unless the field is equalized.

Gordon, a former open-wheel driver now in NASCAR, contends that Patrick is at an advantage over the rest of the competitors because she only weighs 100 pounds. Because all the cars weigh the same, Patrick's is lighter on the race track.

"The lighter the car, the faster it goes," Gordon said. "Do the math. Put her in the car at her weight, then put me or Tony Stewart in the car at 200 pounds and our car is at least 100 pounds heavier.

"I won't race against her until the IRL does something to take that advantage away."

The IndyCar Series does not consider the weight of the driver in its race specifications. The car has to weigh at least 1,525 pounds before the fuel and driver are added, and teams in Indy have estimated that Patrick will gain close to 1 mph in speed because of her small stature.

Although her rivals in Sunday's race have said she doesn't have a huge advantage, pole-sitter Tony Kanaan told reporters he would like the IndyCar Series to look into the issue.

"Right off the bat, a guy my size is spotting her 105 pounds," Gordon said. "That's the reason she's so much faster."
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/the-break-room/93956-amazing-danica.html

Gordon never planned to race in the Indy 500 this season, choosing instead to focus on his job as owner of a NASCAR team. Gordon had run in the 500 and NASCAR's Coca-Cola 600 on the same day the past four years.

But with his startup team struggling, Gordon couldn't afford to take his focus off NASCAR. He qualified 25th for Sunday's race, but his car was among the fastest in most of the practice sessions.

Still, he said the No. 7 Chevrolet is searching for more horsepower from its Menard-built engines.

"We are a long ways away," Gordon said. "But we're still working and we will get there."

What a sore loser! He's just jealous that a female is a better driver than he is, pretty pathetic to attack someone for being an outstanding up and coming superstar. I have never liked him and never will. He just didn't want to race against her as he knew he would of lost to her like he does everyone else.

What's a driver's weight have to do with racing anyways. That's just an excuse so he didn't have to lose to her. What a coward.

That's so imbecilic. He can always ask his drivers to go on a diet. I hope this sets a precedent for NASCAR to start recruiting more female drivers. Might make it a more popular spectator sport than it is now.

asshat, nuff said.

no one whined when Lynn St. James was racing, or her predicesor.

Sore loser indeed.

I wonder how he'd feel if we added weight to his car until it was the same weight as the fattest guy in his races??

must admit even as a Holy Formula One purist that was some awesome racing. 180 laps of pure goosebumps from oval racing. Who woulda thunk IRL can be that fun. Last time I saw IRL was when sarah fisher tried to do the same thing, that was great too but if I remember right she ended up crashing out pretty badly. For Danica to end up 4th as a Rookie is just amazing with the most international and most competitive line up ever...wow. Good for her. She will have a great fututre. I hope to see the F1 teams fight over her to a least get her to do some testing for starters... She has created a fan for sure.
