Awful i hate paypal

its a losing game with paypal
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/the-break-room/93211-i-hate-paypal.html

my experience as seller and buyer....when i file a complain, or receive one

when i was a buyer and the seller did not deliver. paypal says this

"due to the nature of the transaction i.e. electronic.....even though you did not received the " product ...we have to release the money and they did and sided with the seller

recently as seller...where scripts and templates were downloaded
the buyers file a complaint that there was unauthorised use of their "paypal" account,...paypal refunded them due to the fact that the buyers did not signed a "received form" or tracking ID...so they sided with the buyers in this case!!

man.. this is a losing game. Paypal sucks! but is there any other options?

some advice would really help

There's an option, a really good one. It's called http://www.2checkout.com/, where you pay $50 and some $0.45 plus a % off of each order.

Another option: DON'T SELL $5 STUFF OR GET OVER OCCASIONAL F***-UPS LIKE THAT

:-) Hope that'd help ya lol nothing personal

yeah...paypal really sucks. They can't accept my cc, waiting for approval for a very long time. Guess they don't need us anymore, since they have enough people using paypal already.

Even though i use paypal because of its convience, paypal really sucks. I really recommend reading the forums at www.paypalsucks.com its really interesting. I would recommend firepay or some other service.

well, I have some experience with ikobo... it's ok IMO - the downside is that few people use it and not many are willing to sign up just for one transaction... their fees are also higher than paypal's. Other than that - no problems really, their live support has improved significantly IMO

Other than that, open up a merchant acct. if you're in the US (and if you can afford it)

Brought a ipod never recieved the seller closed his ebay account, So i made a complaint, But because it wasn't in the time limit to make a claim i had to wait, Finally when i did claim hed withdrawn all the funds so i lost out,
He had 100% 90 transactions rating, So brings it to light really It's not that hard to scam on ebay and paypal! Escrow 100% for domains and website transactions.

YEAH! I HEAR YA'!
I have lost two battles with them where the seller did not deliver,
and I currently have one going too, and I can almost bet I will lose.

1st= 675$
2nd=500$
3rd(going on right now)= 750$

^lost first two cases, and bet I will lose the 3rd. its not fair at all.
they make it SOOOOOOOO easy for these scam jobs.
The scammer didnt even reply to my emails nothing, didnt even make an attempt to send the item...so theyd have an excuse. no, not at all, nothing. no backup and paypal still lets them win.

I agree... I hate paypal too.

I've been receiving my payments from my clients all using PayPal as well as transfering money from my PayPal account to my Bank account with lots of success. I'm doing web designing though. Thumbs up for PayPal. I've no complain at all. Seriously. PayPal the best so far I've ever come across. Maybe it depends on the individuals?

I have to admit, I have had 3-4 problems with customers using paypal, but compared to the number of sales I have gotten through paypal, the problems are like nothing. The problem with me is that people pay and I email the ifle to download. Sometimes the emails dont go through because their email doesnt exist. Other times buyers get the script, and then file a complaint to get their money back... I have no proof I sent the file! Paypal needs to find some way to provide protection to sellers who can email buyers the files or info they purchase; maybe paypal could send the email for us or something. I dunno, just my two cents.

i think paypal suit best for those doing web design business cos once the design is done, client will have to pay first before we can either send the whole .zip or .rar file to their email or create a link for them to download their file through our own server..

PayPal's great. Sure I've had a big chunk of chargeback's, but haven't lost anything really, couple of dollars here and there - made more with PayPal, than lost. from me!
