My friend got the full version last week. I dont know how. Anyways I like Tiger. It has those widget thingies where you can have little sticky remiders on your screen. Thats the only new feature I noticed is the widget thing.
i have a windows pc and my mac laptop but my mac laptop tops all
its fast, freindly, and VERY stable and easy to configure
i manage to crash windows daily in one way or other. ive had my mactop since early march and im yet to crash it.
but the software thing it does everything windows does in one way shape or form and is usually cheaper only thing mac is missing is games but thats changing
I really don't think eigher PC or Mac are surpieor to one another. It's what you plan to use it for. If you're trying to play games on a Mac, you made the wrong choice...
So how is that new one? Is that dashboard thing anything like this Konfabulator thing (konfabulator.com)?

yeh it is pretty much. but i belive mac took it one step further and set it so that they are only present when you show them (so it doesnt clutter your desktop)
Again, it really depends on what your using it for. I have mostly used Windows but I've never had any of the problems with Mac that I have with Windows, however Mac is just reallly terrible for games, even the ones that are designed for Mac run very laggily (if that's a word), However if you're just using it for going online for an hour a day, nothing professional, and no games, I think Mac is better. Don't you agree?

- E-Mail
Winner - Mac
Mac doesn't suffer from virus's or malware, makes life much easier, other than that all the major apps Thuderbird/Outlook etc are all there.
- Web
Winner - None/Draw
The Mac doesn't suffer from exploits from websites, however there are come sites that are coded for windows only. However in real use I have to turn to my PC maybe once a month.
- Communications
Winner - Mac
Mac is built on Unix, it has a terminal and has built in full feature and stable SSH/FTP/Ping/Traceroute/Apache etc.
- Games
Winner - PC
Mac is still behind in the games market, though there are now some good games available. Most of the popular shoot em ups are slower on the Mac as the code is ported.
- Office
Winner - None/Draw
Mac has MS Office , Windows has MS Office, they work the same. Enough Said.
- Graphic Design/DTP
Winner - Mac
Photoshop and Quark were both made for the Mac originally, they integrate better and just seem to work more efficiently. The only plus for Windows is PSP for the home user, though you do have Gimp on the Mac nowdays.
In my opinion if you want to play games, get a PC/Xbox etc , if you are a professional then you can't beat a Mac, above what is said above a Mac does things like reliable monitor spanning, multiple IP configurations, better integration of bluetooth technologies etc.
User interface is a matter of choice, frankly they both work, mac interface is easier on the newbie and as such a windows user can pick it up in half a day.
