Terri Schiavo

So what are you opinions on this issue? I feel that the person should probably die, But not by starving her and not giving her any water. What do you think?

i believe things would be much better if terri's husband would hand over rights to the parents and leave the whole ordeal. but it appeared that it would never happen that way, unfortunately

I wish the govt would stay out of these thing

and i wish people would not try to make a quick buck off of domains relating to this matter, its awful

Yeah that's pretty sorry. Buying domains over something like this to make a profit.

A thoughtful article about two different parents and two different answers but without any presumption of the "right choice".

He had the doctors remove it I believe. There is nothing anyone can do since he is like her guardian. He is the only one who can have it put back in.

Thats right. It's been over a week that she's been starved, and they said that it would be about 2-weeks and then she'd die. I hope they can get it re-inserted!

Google and Terri Schiavo

"On March 22 Google altered their graphic (as they often do) to show water dripping out of the word 'Google' into a bowl. The rumor immediately started racing around that this was some kind of reference to the Terri Schiavo case. I don't quite follow the logic of the rumor. Did people think that Google was showing how water is dripping out of Schiavo as she dehydrates? I'm not sure. Anyway, it wasn't any kind of reference to Terri Schiavo. Google used the graphic to note that it was World Water Day."

Why is this case so important? Teri isn't a celeberty or anything (well now she might be considered by some to be), and this really isn't the business of the public too much. I do think she should get what she wanted, and I do believe she wants to live but I really don't care anymore, I just want ACTUAL news now. And HOW THE HELL IS THIS BIGGER NEWS THEN IRAQ?

I do agree with you that this should not be the medias priority,However understand that what is happening here with terri could implement new government laws regarding cases such as terris. She is a human being,Yes she is a vegetable,But so are many Retarded children aswell mentally ill children and adults. What,Should they just stop feeding and providing fluid for those people.I think not.Thats inhuman treatment and cruel to say the least.Everytime i take a drink of water,Everytime i take a bite of food.I think of terri. But i pray everyday as i know terri is going to a better place. As for all of the fallen brothers and sisters that sacrificed for our freedom aswell as others. They will always be remembered,They are our US hereos. So i definatly do agree with you that it should be more of private issue between family,And the media is misusing her by reporting misleading information about this.

Save The Children
Think about it this way... If you were the person that was in a vegetative state and there was a very very slim chance that you would have any positive recovery, would YOU WANT your family to have to suffer as well. Every day that goes by, your family by your side supporting the slim chance for any improvement. Do you think Terry would want this? Don't you think that she would want them to be able to continue there lives with the positive memory they had with her? Do you think that if she was of right mind, she would want everybody to put there lives on hold, for who knows how many years, to be by her side everday or would she want them to continue on and be happy and make something of themselves. Life is too short and she's proof. Now please don't get me wrong, I am not saying she should die, but is she the only victim here? It seems like her family are victims too. There whole life spent by the side of the one they love. Continue on with her memory in your heart, not her lifeless body in a doctor's bed. Do we know what she is feeling? She could be suffering beyond comprehension, but we don't know because she can't tell us.

First of all, I don't see why they couldn't have left the tube in her while all this was decided. Would it have mattered that much another week?
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=77679

Secondly, and please don't take this the wrong way. If they are going to starve her to death, they should just kill her quickly. It's not a good way to go, by starvation, and even though she may not be able to express it, she may feel the pain of her organs as they fail due to starvation. I think it's cruel to let her die a slow and painful death over a two week period.

Whether she would want to be killed, or whether she should live or die, is not my place to say. I do think the media is turning it into a circus and the congress is trying to turn it into a political thing, neither of which I think is right. It seems their mind is made up at this point. I just wish they'd do it more humanely than the way they are if that is the intent.

Its been going on for 15 years. Its time for it to end.

Who is going to pay the TAX PAYERS back for all the money her parents cost us by filing lawsuits and crap just because they dont want her to die as per her wishes?

Why her? Why not little Joe thats in the same condition? What makes her so special?
