| ftp session hello friends
can anyone tell me how can i make ftp session long in my site..? generally in design integration jobs.. i have to open ftp for a long time.. and its very annoying when ftp disconnected after few mins...

| Need to change the server settings typically, and unless you have root/control access that's not likely.
There was a variation on ws_ftp that automatically renewed the connection by moving out of and back into the current directory every minute, keeping it open.

| I'm use smart FTP and i get D/C from my host ever 5 min if i'm inactive and it sucks.. is theer any way i can change that or do i have to talk with my host? |

| thats the reason.. most of servers.. [my clients'] have pureFTP client [server based] every 15 mins of inactivity.. its disconnected.. its very annoying... |

| 99% Sure you have to change the timeout limit on the FTP server ~

| annoying yes but nessecary, if the timeouts didnt exist you would get people doing nothing taking up system resources. |
