Wal-Mart Abduction

Have any of you seen the news about that 19 year old lady who was kidnapped at the Wal-Mart in Texas?

They got the guy who went to a AZ hospital because he was shot while holding up a mobile home park resident according to Fox News. They also just said they found the ladies body in another part of Texas 240 miles away from the Wal_mart. The guy was found 800 miles away.

I knew something like this could happen because 4 years ago when I worked for Wal-Mart here in Pennsylvania there was NO security after 11pm. I asked about this MANY times while working there because one employee got hurt when tring to stop a shoplifter. I hope the news and police investigate Wal-Mart and its security!

If they had someone in the Security room watching the cams they would have seen her being chased and shoved into the truck. They could have called 911 and reported it. Maybe she wouldnt have been killed.

Well, at my local Wal-Mart supercenter, they have like 1 or 2 rent-a-cops driving up and down throught the parking lot.

When I say rent-a-cops, I mean the 'security guards' - they drive either: WackenHut security service vehicles (white with orange lights) or cars that are slapped with decals and vinyls to match cop cars (or in Palm Beach County, sherriff cars), but instead of Sherrif they say Security or neighborhood watch or something like that...

And they walk around in malls and pretend to be 'big'...a few years back some friends got in trouble for calling one a rent-a-cop.

But hey, they do a job, and it helps/saves people.

Cow is an unknown quantity at this point

Some rent-a-cops carry guns or other protective devices. However, it's the ones that provide zero armed protection regardless of the equipment that bother me. Only a few local wal-marts here have rent-a-cops after a certain hour. The rest are just open.

yeah very sad situation. yes at a higher
security place the man would have not
pulled that off. wall mart should have someone
manning the cameras. they are the number one
company in the WORLD. they can afford it.
