Review 2010 Trends: Facebook up - Twitter down - Blogging KO

It does not surprises me.

They love to write how many times they went to the bathroom...

Teens lose interest in blogging, Twitter | News.com.au

FB is becoming a human zoo....interesting to study and few people cash on it.
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/the-break-room/638440-2010-trends-facebook-up-twitter-down.html

I keep seeing teenagers and up till the 30s walking while texting or should I say texting while walking?

Less people interact face to face to the point that new generations are not even spelling their own language properly.

Where is this going?

Note: discussion is focused on the business point of view rather than criticize what these new generations want to do with their life. So...is FB going to last or will implode? And if it will, what would be better than it? (if better is the right word...)

Very timely post.

I think everybody with access to computer has a facebook account. It's staggering actually to see your (long lost) friends, known and unknown neighbors and almost all town's people getting connected through this amazing online medium, when offline you don't really know each other that much, much less care. So in that point of view, facebook and all the other social networking sites is a positive development, but on the other hand, it demands so much of your time, takes you away from the real world, from the physical or ordinary activities that bond you to your family and loved ones...

We must be aware or vigilant of the kind of harm that facebook and the internet could bring into our lives..It's not all about business, or being connected, known, or updated, with people or technology.

It's been 3 days...since I filed an indefinite leave of absence from facebook.

exactly Jessica....already forums such this one require a lot of time but at least most of us need this for business purpose.

The problem is that I see tons of people absolutely bored who put their whole life on FB.

FB is in my opinion becoming a worldwide virtual pub. ( mind you I just checked if "virtualpub.com" was available )

I think that there is going to be so much business around the FB cake that it could blow away my mind if I had the stats.

Personally I don't think teens were ever as interested in blogs per se as they are/were MySpace or Facebook.. blogs were IMHO always the land of the marketer or intellectual
