Acer Laptop Broken Screen

Hello,

So the screen is broken, bleeding and just cant do anything on it, that a side. It has no OS on it.

Therfore i cannot figure out a way on how to get the display to show on a HDTV via VGA or HDMI

Could anyone tell me if it is possible and if not what is the best solution. I need to get an OS on it, it came with Vista and i beleive it has a restore partition on it.

Try to connect an external monitor, sometimes you have to press the function keys to switch the output(FN+one of the F keys)

Besides that it would help yo know the exact model and more details about the"acer".

If this is not helping connect the laptop hdd to a desktop (with an external 2.5" USB Case)to see if the
restore partition is still existing...
