Cool Metal Detecting - The Best Hobbie

G'day Guys,

Anyone out there a fellow Metal Detectorist?

I run a Metal Detecting Blog in Australia, it is my favourite hobbie.

It is so much fun, and if any of you out there are parents, looking to buy your kid a good christmas present, why don't you consider getting them a Metal Detector for christmas? Or get one for yourself as well!
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/the-break-room/611097-metal-detecting-the-best-hobbie.html

If you have a child who likes to get up to mischief, a Metal Detector will stop that, especially when they start finding coins, rings and lost treasure!

Metal Detecting is a great way of keeping active, it is good for the mind, it is exciting and rewarding.

Feel free to check out my site, I also help people find their lost rings, jewellery, and much more.

I try and metal detect a few times a week, mostly around old houses, the beach and rivers.

I have also just bought myself a small boat which I can use for metal detecting around rivers, and also diving and snorkling around potential treasure spots.

Cheers

Billy!

Metal Detectors are cool if you got a great place close to go to and actually find something

I generally stick to the point hunting in these parts.

I've gone metal detecting a few times. Found a few old implements and my future father-and-law found some buttons, but not much around here. (Guess we just don't know the right places.) Coincidentally, the best metal find was made by another family member w/o the detector one day. He came across an old Union button that almost surely had to come from a Union soldier in Sherman's group that split up crossing the river near where this button was found. We have a friend who found a Spanish colonial-era coin w/o a detector as well.

There are plenty of places to hunt, old homes, abandoned homes, parks, schools, play grounds, old pubs, rivers, beaches, lakes ... I could go on.

I just did a job for someone who lost their ring out of a car moving 70 m/ph. Read my story about it here.

I read your Metal Detecting Blog today Billy, nice reading. I liked how your friend gave you the tip to drop a dummy ring out of the moving car to see where it landed. Also that crows will pick up rings and fly away with them, who knew lol. Cool idea to find peoples lost stuff for a reward.

metal detecting sounds really fun... I find metals using the old fashioned way: digging. I'm lucky if I got a few coins or metal parts that can be traded to cash but a lot of times, the only things that I find are nails, pins
