So long man ... i am new as well but its always sad to see a senior member leave
by the way, can i get you NP money?
ThanX
JP man good luck... in your life.
Yes it was better. For the most part Domainers are not dumb. We have tools (some paid for and some not) that enable us to watch the playing field and see what unfolds. We are a small community so it doesn't take much to build a reputation. Good or Bad.
I think in a way you do, without good mebers there is no forum, so the Members actualy operate the forum? At least tell us what you think the problem is so maybe we can do something to change it? Its always easy to say its not the same anymore, but what is bugging you (OK people asking for your NP) but other than that....
The problem is there is absolutely NO RESPECT here anymore! People think they can just do whatever they want, and say whatever they want... about anyone they want, and it's just supposed to be OK.
There used to be a certain standard here... a professional atmosphere. A place where professional domain investors and the like would come and network while using the forum to make money.
Now it's a begging ground...a free for all, if you will. It all about what can I get for free, or who can I screw to get ahead. It's not cool.
Take a look around, where are all the senior members? Leaving one by one... why? Well, there's your answer.... no respect for eachother or eachothers businesses.
It's very simple, and would be very simple to correct if each one of us would just have respect for one another.
... and If I get attacked for this post, it's just further proof of what I've been saying. I'm saying this because I DO care about this forum, and it's members. I don't want Tippy, or anyone else to leave. It may be to much to ask for world peace this Holiday Season, but we can sure start with NamePros Peace
Hey, Tippy. You'll be missed if you decide to really leave.
I believe you when you say that you had your sights on that name even before it showed up in the expired section. Like many here, I have my own lists of expiring and available names that I chase after as funds allow. When one of my candidate names appears in a public list, there's more pressure to bid more, or to register before I had planned to. While rare, when this happens I feel no need to donate NP$ to the list poster.
However, these lists are very helpful to many people, specially our new members, and serve as a way for them to make less bad regs early on. Such newbie mistakes cost domainers our hard-earned $$, and benefit only big companies like netsol. While it sometimes affects me personally, I prefer the free flow of info to the "old boys club" type of situation.
Anyway, whatever you finally decide, good luck to you!
I am just a new member, but I am sorry to see you leave. Although I see all your arguments, I think NamePros is much better then many other forums (DNForum in particular)
Tippy, I can see your point too now, although It would be very sad if you leave because of what the "nabours" say's about you, I think the majority is not this way, so put yourself above your "nabours" who's are saying thinks about you because his or her live is not that interesting than yours and then just ignore them, they will stop bugging you eventualy so give it an other try and keep your head up there are still a lot of professional honest and respectfull NP-ers left!

I've always respected you and thought you were a great member. I'll miss you if you decide to leave. We've all got different views/opinions on matters and have the right to be heard. I respect you for voicing your opinion as that's the right we've all got.
If you do decide to leave then I wish you the best of luck with everything in your future! But hopefully you'll reconsider as it's really a great community.
Happy Holidays! *<|
