* Use phpBB, Invision, vB, or something other than InvisionFree. It's so much more customizable and in the end will make your site look that much more professional. If you ever want to move off InvisionFree in the future it'll be such a pain in the butt.
* What's unique about it? There are 100 other GTA-related forums I could join, so what makes yours special? People will be inclined to go with the already established forums, unless they see something unique and special in your site that they want to be a part of. Maybe have a posting contest to give away a copy of GTA, the GTA guide book, or something along those lines.
That covers most of what I was going to say. Also I doubt that you will get a cent from donations. You're not going to get many members, and guests won't donate.
Also to everyone else, the best way to do a game forum is to have the forum there from the start of the games comming out, or even before that.
