Tattainger Blanc de Blanc when I can afford it. Any old Spanish bubbly when I can't.

Used to have a French friend who had a separate fridge stocked solely with various champagnes. He drank himself to death eventually, but at least part of the ride was fun.

I go with Tattinger and Perrier Jouet Belle Epoque.

the tatt because it has a nice 'biscuity' crispness, and the Belle Epoque because it was what we were drinking the night I proposed to my G.F.

Can't stand the stuff. I tend to drink beer more than anything, then of course the occasional liquor.

decent stuff is nice, although cheap sparkling wine can be discusting, sort of like a fizzy weak vinegar.

When is was visiting Troyes (Near champagne) a few years back, we went to the supermarket and the manager (who was a wine expert) told us which ones to buy and avoid. He recommended some Pink Champagne, which was excellent.

I bought a vintage bottle of Bollinger back in 1999 when I was out working in New Zealand, the idea was to celebrate our tenth wedding aniversary with it. Unfortunately it was stolen from our baggage when we returned home, so we never got to try it. The airline denied it happened, we couldn't prove it. Some **** got a very expensive bottle of champagne (I can't say where I hope the cork flew when they popped it off).

The question should rather be: "Who doesn't like Champagne?"

One day, i'll get my hands on a bottle of Bollinger

Agreed, Dom is great!
In the mid 90's we celebrated a birthday (several people) with these babies, in magnum size:

The hangover the next day was of equal size... but trust me - it made for a great night. Good thing it wasn't on my credit card
