Help! Custom PC Build - So far...


So I'm looking into building my first PC to replace this old Dell I have. Here's the parts I have picked so far. I was wondering what others thoughts are and if there are any suggestions of things I should add/change/etc.

If only I had that much money to spend on building my own computer ='(

Aren't you a lucky one... haha.


The specs look really nice. I personally would have built it around a Core i7, but this is definitely good enough to be cutting edge for a good number of years...



My only complaint is Vista XD ewww. XP ftw! (or windows 7 when they release official).

Also make sure you get the small but forgettable things like thermal paste and stuff.

Thinking about i7, but it's hard to find any decent heatsinks/fans that will work with it right now. I think Core 2 Quad will be fine for a while. I like Vista although I may end up changing my mind on this build and going XP Pro - we'll see.
