Paypal's security certificate

Has anyone noticed, when you click: www.Paypal.com
that their security certificate with "Verisign" has expired,
as well..if you check the "certificate details" you'll notice that
the certificate was issued to:
paypalssl.doubleclick.net

So, does this mean that Paypal owns or is part of the DoubleClick network?
www.Doubleclick.net

* Also, why do you think the certificate has expired and not been renewed?

* you must have your internet options set to give you this certificate info.. in order to view it*

Wanda what does this imply? Like, is it a simple mistake or does Paypal intend to run amok? I can't belive a company like Paypal contiues to operate in such a "dreamworld" when, they are now owned and operated by Ebay.

When I just viewed the properties on their security certificate it showed it's issued to http://www.paypal.com and the expiration says 3/2/04 - 3/3/06 so it still has a few years yet.
