ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) ― A Colorado criminal known as the "spam king" who left a minimum-security facility on Sunday was found dead after a shooting Thursday morning in Arapahoe County along with his wife and a child, sources close to the case tell CBS4.
U.S. Marshals, the FBI and IRS had been looking for Edward "Eddie" Davidson. The U.S. Attorney's Office announced his escape on Tuesday.
Davidson, 35, of Louisville, sent hundreds of thousands of unsolicited e-mails. In April he was sentenced to 21 months in prison in Florence after pleading guilty to tax evasion and falsifying e-mail headers. He was also ordered to pay nearly $715,000 to the Internal Revenue Service... (read more)

Granted a guy like this needs to be caught, and locked up with leg irons if he walks out. But killing anyone, no matter what kind of a nasty SOB they are, is madness. Money is not worth murder. Else might as well be a paid assassin.
Even in many of the worst movies, the anti-hero can be a brutal bastard, but will save the life of a child at any cost. Apparently this killer has no boundaries.
wow. That is sad. I just wish that these "murder-suicide" cases would begin with the "suicide" part. Murder/suicide is always wrong, but killing or harming kids is as low as it gets. I am confident that the spam king is already reaping his just rewards for that act.

BENNETT, Colo. — A convicted spammer who escaped from prison, his wife and 3-year-old daughter were found slain outside a farm house Thursday east of Denver in an apparent murder-suicide.
U.S. Attorney Troy Eid said Edward "Eddie" Davidson, whom the authorities called the "Spam King," and the other two were found at the home in a rural part of Bennett, about 25 miles east of Denver. He said Davidson shot himself.
Authorities had been searching for Davidson, 35, since Sunday, when he and his wife drove away from a minimum-security federal prison in Florence, 90 miles south of Denver.
She helped him escape, then he kills her.. tragic!
I just don't get the selfishness of murder/suicide - so you are a lowlife %#!& and want to do the world a favor by taking yourself out - fine go ahead, but to take innocents out with you especially kids is just pathetic. May he rot in hell!
I hate to be insolent but this really cracks me up! If he didn't have anything to do with his low life after all, he should've just kill himself alone- why bring innocent people with him!??
