Global Poverty Act: A Window to Obama

Folks, you better get ready to shed out $2,500 regardless of income for poverty elsewhere in the world. The US cannot even win the war against poverty in its own back yard, but now we're helping everyone else with our magic-promise-fix-for-all future President Barack Obama. (But he's for CHANGE, right!!?)

Change you can believe in (where it's going out of your pocket)!

Dictators around the world especially in Africa must be rubbing their hands in delight and openning new offshore accounts to acomodate this avalanche of US$. They will probably send their wives to look for new properties to buy in Europe and the US.

As long as these criminals continue governing their countries, our aid will never eradicate poverty, because most of this money never reaches the poor and starving.

I agree.. and here I am, semi-retired, working part time just above minimum wage.. $2500 (tho I realize it's not coming directly out of my pocket) would represent a good chunk of my yearly income.

They need to concentrate on issues at home first.

Reminds me of the fact, I always make sure I bring snacks into work for myself. People there invariably ask if I will share and I often do but not even once in the 4 years I've worked there has anyone else EVER brought something in to share.. "food" for thought.
