WELLINGTON, New Zealand - A family court judge in New Zealand has had enough with parents giving their children bizarre names here, and did something about it.
Just ask Talula Does The Hula From Hawaii. He had her renamed.
Judge Rob Murfitt made the 9-year-old girl a ward of the court so that her name could be changed, he said in a ruling made public Thursday. The girl was involved in a custody battle, he said.
Honestly, i don't even have a stupid, smartass or sarcastic comment for this ...
Where is this world going?!
9 years ago, when my twins were born, i was concerned with trying to find names that can be pronounced (nearly) the same, not matter where they are at on this planet - not even in my wildest dreams would i have wrecked my brain to find a name that humiliates my kids.
As a father, i'm actually speechless with a load of BS like that.
Years ago a lady won in court the right to name her child:
Christophpher
-notice the double 'ph'

In the USA there are two names that you cannot name your child , satan and lucifer .
Good thing for nicknames

I wouldn't imagine there's a law against it, never heard of one in any case.. there was a popular turn of the century book called Satan Sanderson, no idea what the plot was.
Lucifer actually means "bringer of light", not too bad a connotation.
Hmmm.... I dont know.... Has anyone heard the lyrics to "A Boy Named Sue" by Johhny Cash. Or has anyone heard the stories by I. P. Freely or I Seymour Butts?
