Honestly guys.. 1$ or so is not a big deal, even on small 15$ transactions. Suck it up as the cost of doing business.
Don't impose fee's just for paypal, its against their terms of service and makes you look cheap. I dont even bid or buy from people who say "buyer pays fees" because I view those people as squeezing every dime out of a situation and desperate.
If you have a 10$ domain, I have no problem paying 15$ for it flat. But dont tell me to pay $11.50 because of fees.
There is my mini rant.. sorry - had to get it off my chest
I was going to point out, It's been mentioned here before, it's against the rules to do it. I have to agree it's pathetic also, for what paypal provides the fees are worth it.
what is it lie 2.5%. Its really not a big deal... Honestly Its the same as you owning a store and some swipes there credit card. The seller has to pay a small percent to the credit company
That being said is that the whole 2.5% does not go straight to profit. Some of it goes to cover the fees of the credit card issuer of you and people without a merchant account.
I support your mini rant. its unbelieveable how people can be so cheap at times..
I believe in the UK they are stopping fees for balance transfers between accounts (so basically you only pay a fee for credit/debit card transactions).
I also get annoyed when people try to add them on as well.
I will use "Buyer pays fees" just to point out I am willing to pay the fees.
Some of you , with enough sales volume, could use this as a line item "Home Office" expense. If you add the shipping fees to the sale then your paying for it later as income taxes.
Just a thought

I usually don’t mind it too much when buying or selling stuff that is $40-$50 but the other day I sent someone $3 and they charge my me another $1 on top of it..
when i sell things on ebay i tack on a extra $1 or more on shipping and handling to cover these things. At least on ebay you have to do that because paypal and ebay fees keep going up. When paypal started they where to only make money on intrest, but like everything it turned into a how much $$ can we make with this
I'm tired of the whining myself. The same goes for marketplaces that charge per-transaction. The simple solution is to increase your asking price a little bit to cover transaction fees... I'm not sure why many people don't understand that.
That's not a real solution tho.. raising asking price just increases the potential fees. Seller needs to accept that fees are part of doing business and "bite the bullet" IMO.
