Plan to buy fireworks?
Planning to buy fireworks for the 4th? Rule #1: stay legal and stay safe!
Fireworks are legal here but you can't shoot them off in city limits (Is that dumb or what?)
I bought about $20 worth last year and shot them off with friends in a field near Sarcoxie, MO.. had alot of fun, except for the mosquitos!
We have tents all over selling fireworks just on the outskirts of town and a few established fireworks stores near the Interstate.

They are illegal in NJ... so people just go over the border to PA and there is a huge fireworks store.

Surprised I haven't seen the typical "rumors of planned terrorist attack on 4th" news stories yet..

Here in Ohio...fireworks are legal to sell but are illegal to shoot off.
You have to sign a form that you are going to take them out of the state of Ohio within 48 hours of purchase.
weird

That is weird but saves on hospital bills and lawsuits!

Bad day here for fireworks ... Looks like it's going to be raining most of the day. It's very cloudy. Most firework displays have been canceled and rescheduled for tomorrow.

.. and cheaper too.
When I want to smoke, I visit the neighbor's.. you have to cut your way thru the smoke with a knife. I just inhale a couple times and go home
Safest way to spend the 4th:

Fireworks are illegal in AZ too.. at least the good ones. We are going to drive to New Mexico and launch some on saturday night and get the 75% off clearence deals.
2 Weeks ago I was in mexico and bought some huge fireworks that are not legal in the states. I was going to shoot them off but my girl was scared we were going to get arrested (we were in the city) so I paid a bum on the side of the road to shoot them off for me. I have never seen someone so happy.

And vise versa. Or go to Ohio or Maryland. Most states have laws prohibiting the sale of the "good stuff" to citizens of their own state, but they can sell to out of staters. Just don't get caught by fireworks vise quad that sits and watches the stores.
Most people take off work and have a blast over the 4th. I wonder what ER Doctors do. Stock up on glass eyes and finger splints?

Not here in Upstate NY
My friends dad bought a $*@( load of fireworks, and being that my uncle is a police man, he set them off in case of any trouble. Luckily the cops never came and it was a good night for all.

I would have kept them for something special... like haloween lol - it would make the city unique
