What kind of music do NP members listen to?
Hey,
I've been a member on these forums for some time now, but I have never really been that active. So, I thought a nice way of getting acquainted with people here is music. Everyone listens to something, right? Okay, usually this works as a really bad pickup line, but you have to start somewhere.
As for myself, I'm a fan of old-school hard rock and heavy, everything from Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin to Judas Priest and Van Halen.
Thanks,
Purustotle

I haven't been able to stop listening to G Love and Special Sauce for years!
Other than him and some bluegrass artists I am sick of modern american music, it all seems so "clear channel" to me.

I have similar taste in music . . . + jazz + most of the 60's, 70's and early 80's
+ some classical + the odd country tune here and there.
I sleep to Simon & Garfunkel, Sting or Sade.

As always I am into Heavy Metal, bands such as Deicide, Bolt Thrower, Dmmu Borgir etc etc.
1 band I have been listening too alot recently is Bloodbath (basically a side project between Katatonia and Opeth members). Extremely good Death Metal

Rage against the Machine FTW, Metallica, ac/dc, Iron Maiden, System of a Down and Dream Theater is the stuff I grew up with, but lately I listen to alot of indie brit pop & european stuff such as arctic monkeys, Royksopp, Franz ferdinand, Kings of convenience, the Wombats, Interpol, Air. On the american side I like Red hot chili peppers, jack johnson, everlast, G.Love & special sauce, Gomez, the Beastie boys (!), and the good ol' black sabbath. All in random order.
And I secretly love american country (toby keith, brad paisley to name a few) but I never tell anyone.

Amazing how many people seem to be ashamed to admit they like country music. I never really understood why country music lost so much popularity in detriment to hip hop and rap which I regard in most cases as a load of crap.
