That's just... sick... I guess that's just natural for all dictators, they can't see their vision come true in reality so they practise their utopia in their own heads by living in houses where you need a map to find the loo.
I agree that he probably has lots of expensive homes, but how can you truely be sure that this home is his and not just one that has been used to prove a point.
Halving the nations average life expectancy is an achievement that would be hard to beat and not one to be particularly proud of.
A friend of mine who lived in the country for 40 years, but left about 6 months ago because hardly anything works anymore, Power cuts, food and fuel shortages, phones not working, no medicines in hospitals, super hyper inflation, just to name a few things thanks to this dictator.
My friend had already told me 4-5 years ago that this palace was being built. The western press has been more preocupied with Iraque, Al-qaeda, the economy, gas prices, Obama, Hilary etc. so these stories are forgotten.
Its not a surprise to anyone that dictators love their palaces. Sadam also had a few as the world discovered after the US invasion. The Generals in Myanmar also live in oppulence. There are lots of other examples and Africa is full of them. Its up to us to show the world these imoral excesses, especially in poor countries, so as to rid our world of these useless so called human beings.
