I first read it as crack pot

I just tend to throw everything in chicken, alittle bacon, potatoes, carrots, onions (anything of your choice). Add some pearl barley and dumplins cooked in some chicken stock. salt pepper and sit back and let cook REALLY slow.

Depends..... sometimes on a very low setting for as long as 6 hours for full flavours to come out..

If using beef its really nice to let it really break down ...

Slow cookers are really good. I have left things on at 8am to eat at 5pm..

For the beef roast I add olive oil and rub it on the beef. Than I salt and pepper it. Than add a clove or two of garlic - fresh of course. A splash or 2 maybe 3 of worchestire sauce. Than add a quartered medium onion. About 4 or 5 medium potatoes and 3 sliced carrots.

If you don thave a roast than you can use beef stew chunks. You can replace the roast with a chicken and add the same things. And run the cook time for the same amount of time listed below.

If I have it on hi cook than I let it go for about 4 - 5 hours. For low about 8 hours to 10 hours

Pinto or Navy beans with some ham hocks is a real tasty dinner as well.
