Thumbs up Sears: Nintendo Gamecube $19 B&M 3/15

From Slickdeals (YMMV?):

Hey everybody, just got word from Sears corporate that Gamecube's price will drop to $19 from $99 starting March 15th. In our back room we have a regular system as well as the metroid prime bundle, both will be $19, i'll grab the sears stock numbers tomorrow so you guys know what to ask for, but I just wanted to get this news out early so you guys could spread the word

http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?t=749131

Or get a Nintendo Gamecube Platinum for $39.99 shipped from Amazon:

$19?? That's ridiculous.... does it come with a controller and everything? I have a Wii but want a GC controller to be able to play Virtual Console GC games, and if the whole system, a controller and a game are only $20, then that's what I'd get.

It's the complete system.. if you can't wait, grab the system from Amazon for $39

I'm not sure they're bundled with a game. It's the original retail packaging.. may have a game included. Eitherway, make a great gift idea too for some kid without a system.

Well its more the idea that the Classic Controller for Wii is $20, but the GC controllers plug in just as well, so if I can pick up the controller I need AND a whole system and even a game for the same price, might as well wait.

One of my neighbor's grandkids has a birthday coming up March 28th. Be a nice gift as they always come over to play mine.

I can second that. Wow $19 for gamecube. And to think I just bought the daxter psp bundle pack for $199 last week. I know the 2 are apples and oranges. But still for $19 - $39 is still price breaker.

The Gamecube has tons of great titles and plenty of fun left in the system.. at $19, it can't be beat! For that matter, you could probably double your money with these on eBay seeing as they are brand-new, sealed.

I'll get my neighbor to take me over and see if we can't pick up a few. I don;t see Sears having many in stock tho so it's definitely YMMV.
