| NamePros Regular | My sucky luck... Well I bought some computer components to make myself a new computer with the following specifications: P4 2.8GHz 512DDR400 PC3200 RAM 128MB ATI Radeon 9000 etc... and its not booting up -_- I tried everything and came to the conclusion that i might have messed up the motherboard. Do you think this can mess it up: There were some extra spacers making contact with the motherboard where there arent supossed to. (yeah this was my first time and i didnt take the spacers seriously -_-)Also the other PC somehow stopped working yesterday, I think its the motherboard too. Ughhhh |

Are you getting any POST beeps? From the sounds of things you may have shorted the board? Good Luck! PS Whenever possible use plastic stantions. I usually only use one or 2 brass stantions for grounding the board as in all reality its grounded through the Power Supply and PCI/AGP cards. Last edited by NameCaster; 08-08-2003 at 02:17 PM. | |
