What forum script is best to use for bigger forums like 500-1000 active users at once ?

Invision ?
PhpBB ?
VB ?
Other ?

Just want awnsers from people with experience with this size of forums.

vB would probably be your best bet, however I plan on using Invision no matter how large my board gets.

I should imagine VB as well but those 3 are well established so you would think there has been steps to decrease resources that are needed.

All huge forums use VB. You can check it. Hope that helps

vB, with invison, (unlessed fixed in newest version) will start spitting out sql errors on you

With 500-100 members on at a time, im sure some would be able to donate some bucks. Then you could easily get a Vb with out have dish too much money out. Thats what most big places do.

Yeah most use VB, but I like PHPBB so easy to mod.

But for best preformance(spell ?) I should maybe go for VB.
