Gore To Enter Race?

CNN just opined that Gore might enter the race.. what do you think? Between Clinton, Gore, and Obama, who do you think might garner the nomination? Would he fare well against the GOP crop?

Syngenetic is an unknown quantity at this point
Gore is independent right? I doubt he'll win. Kinda too late for his campaign to start.

I think he could have won if he'd run (the nomination)

Gore is a democrat and would be the best man for the job if he would run imho. He has been urged to run for a long time now by all the environmentalist who believe mankind is destroying our planet by burning fossil fuels for energy. Obviously if one believes that they would support Gore because he is the man who would put up the biggest and best fight against GW.

Gore has said many times he has no plans to run but he has not completely ruled it out. I hope he does run and if he does I believe he would win. He would get my vote.

I wrote in Al Gore here for the primary (as an option for Vice President)!

My current order is Edwards, Clinton, and Obama ... but if Gore entered the race VERY SOON and can prove to be up and running with a supportive coalition, I'd vote for him in November!

PS. Don't count out Romney on the Republican side ... the Democrats - although it seems like most are against the war and completely sick of Bush and his antics - whomever they nominate, will have their hands full against either Romney or McCain, IMHO.

Of course, Huckabee, Paul, and Giuliani are finished at this point ... humbly.

I'd hate to see either Romney or McCain.. at that point, I'd most likely vote Dem (Edwards being my first choice, if Gore decided not to run). I think Gore may be wise and sitting it out to see how things go. I think he could and would win hands down given the current field.

Gore would spell the end of Hillary. I think we'd see a fairly interesting field of democrats with Gore vs. Obama.

As a conservative-leaning moderate, I'm more of a Paul guy, but I think Romney will get the nomination (being realistic). He will then proceed to be beaten miserably in the general election.

I agree.. I don't think any Republican other than Paul (if he were better known) stands a chance of beating any Democrat at this point..

Ron Paul should just drop out at this point, I don't see anything changing soon for him. Gore has no chance, he is still creating the internet.

I wouldn't count him out yet. He's finished second in two of the last three states.

And not if stuff like this keeps happening.

If Gore's going to enter, he should hurry...

I don't think Gore will enter, personally. If he does, he'll run as an Independent.

Frankly, our field of candidates sucks for lack of a better word. The Republican field is very much alike. John McCain seems to do quite well with the Independents out there but I don't really understand why because of his fierce support for the war.

I like Paul, but he lacks the leadership charisma that a President needs. I believe he's a very intelligent man that cares for his country probably more than anyone up there, but I also believe he's had to take advantage of the "kooks" out there to even stay in the race. If 2nd in Nevada is the best you can claim, well, that speaks for itself. (No disrespect intended to the great state of Nevada by that.)

McCain is a hybrid issue-wise that could really run in either party IMHO. I'd say he's the Republican Joe Lieberman. He doesn't do well with conservatives. The winning candidate has got to attract both sides to some degree.

Don't get me started on Huckabee. Seems like a nice guy, but he also seems to run with whatever anyone around him says as a plan. If you'll start looking at what he says, it's always closely akin to some group out there, like the tax thing. I feel like he'd be another Bush in that he will start one way and flip the other. People forget, but Bush ran on a "humble democracy" but things changed after he got to Washington and started listening to advisors.

Romney may be the Republican candidate. I think he would be if it were not for his flipping on the issues so much. I don't think he's necessarily a liar or a fairweather fan, but I think he's a typical politician in that regard.

The Democratic side is very weak, IMHO. I'm a conservative, but I'd have voted for Joe Biden over John McCain in a heartbeat. Obama has no substance. I watched his messages here in SC change from I'm running for President to "Let's save the world!" I've listened to the man, he does nothing but repeat the change slogan. There's never really a plan there, even Edwards and Clinton have both laid out plans. I feel like Obama has gotten some notoriety and been able to run with it.

I don't want another Clinton in office. The people that hate the Bush's so darn much need to realize America doesn't need 2 full decades with 2 families in power. That doesn't sound like a democracy. I think they have acted very entitled to the spot, and this latest show with Bill confirms it for me. They're very scared now that Obama is running, he trounced in SC tonight basically 2 to 1.

Edwards has less of a chance than a snowball in heck. If one listens to what he says, it sounds akin to communism from time to time. I'm not particularly proud of this SC'linian, but he seems to at least believe in what he's saying. The $400 haircut doesn't help too much, though.

That's my overview of the field. That's my overview. I see a lot of ideals and ideology, but I don't see a lot of real means to get to the end result.

That's really close to what I'm feeling on all of the candidates right now.

Oh, and a better word for Romney is used car salesman.

Now that is exactly right!!.....but I would also add 'Bush Clone' to his description....its so obvious he'll make any promise you wanna hear for a vote.....exactly as Bush did when he was running. He doesn't have a chance imho.
